All forms of hair removal benefit from well-hydrated skin. Start drinking water the day before.
Alcohol, caffeine, and working out before a treatment all deplete moisture in your skin. Avoid these and other products/behaviors that dry you out.
Also, moisturize daily and use moisturizer the day of an appointment.
Keep your skin healthy. Wash daily with a washcloth and gentle cleanser, like Cetaphil. Do all the things that would allow us to work with optimal efficacy. Seriously, no working out before your treatment, the reactions are not worth it.
To get the best results, hair needs to be actively growing at the time of a treatment. Our kill rate is much higher on new, "baby" hairs.
The hair needs to be there in order for us to kill off the follicle. If you are on the slow plan, you can disregard this bit.
You may want to try an aspirin-based product such as PFB, and exfoliate daily (don't scratch your skin, just wash with a washcloth).
Not only is there less sun to worry about with your aftercare, but we also have a more flexible schedule. Speaking of sun, use sunscreen daily.
We can take care of everything you have now, but we cannot prevent the growth of future hair. Tracking down the cause of the hair growth is a great start.
